Hi, I’m Janel!
I tell love stories through my lens.
I believe that every couple has their own unique love story, and it is my mission to tell that story through my photography. The result will be beautiful images that you and your partner will treasure forever.
Whether it’s a proposal, a home photo session, an intimate dinner, or a day on the beach, I will document it all; the laughter, the tears, and everything in between. I want you to look back on your photos and fall in love with each other all over again.

During the session
I will help you feel relaxed and comfortable, while I capture some beautiful moments between the two of you. I will guide you and your partner through a series of poses and interactions that are designed to bring out the natural chemistry between you two. I’ll capture all the little moments that happen in between the posed shots, like laughter, stolen glances, and gentle touches. My ultimate goal is to create a set of photos that perfectly encapsulates your relationship and the love that you share.

There’s no wrong time to do a couple portrait photoshoot. However, there are a few things to consider when planning your session. First, think about the season. Each time of year has its own unique beauty, so choose a time that will best suit your vision. You’ll also want to factor in any special occasions that you might want to commemorate with photos. If you’re not sure when to schedule your session, just ask me for guidance.
The best time for a portrait session is typically when the sun is low in the sky, such as early morning or late afternoon. This gives you the benefit of softer light, which is more flattering for photography. However, if you are willing to get up early or stay out late, the golden hour – just before sunrise or just after sunset – can provide even more beautiful lighting for your portraits.
When it comes to couple photography, what you wear is up to you. However, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, consider the location of your shoot. If you’re doing an outdoor session, dress for the weather and terrain. For indoor shoots, think about the overall aesthetic you’re going for. You may also want to coordinate your outfits so that you complement each other without being too matchy-matchy. Also, I usually advise my customers against using patterns, letters, paintings, or bright colors. These might take the viewer’s attention away from the picture’s main theme – your bond. Whatever you decide, just be sure that you’re comfortable and feel like yourselves.
The best way to capture natural-looking couple portraits is to let the couple interact with each other while I take the photo. This could involve anything from holding hands and looking into each other’s eyes, to playful banter and laughing together.
Some of my favorite couple poses for portrait photography are standing, walking, sitting, lying down, leaning on a wall, holding hands, kissing, kissing the hand or the forehead, hugging, hugging from behind, holding the other person’s face, sexy and classy poses, doing something silly, and lots more.
I just let them be themselves and have fun – this will result in the most genuine-looking photos!
