When Mellisa, the founder of Munai, asked me to create a campaign lookbook for her summer collection that would evoke the spirit of Tulum – I was up for the challenge. My instincts led me to Crandon Park Beach on Key Biscayne, which seemed like an ideal fit. To complete my vision and bring those tropical vibes alive, I borrowed some palm trees from my neighbor’s backyard! And there we were in all our glory, one beautiful sunrise morning, creating memories that will last forever. There was an overcast sky throughout the shoot, but I felt it added to the atmosphere, which made for a successful session. Despite light showers during our time together, we still created stunning results. Working with women-owned companies is always so inspiring and uplifting; there’s something special about being in an environment where women are running operations and making things happen! That’s why I’m particularly passionate about elevating female brands like Munai – empowering one another has incredible potential to be transformative when done collectively!
